CAMPAIGN UPDATE

1,007 SAICM NGO Endorsements:

The SAICM Global Outreach Campaign Committee is pleased to announce that we have reached our goal of 1,000 endorsements! As of 20 March, 2009, we have 1,007 endorsements of the Common Statement, with 107 countries represented.

This is great news!

Although we've met the goal we created for ourselves, we will continue to collect endorsements of the Common Statement for this important Campaign. By endorsing the Statement, your organization can join the global effort to work for a future where exposure to toxic chemicals is no longer a source of harm, and to commit, along with other NGO and civil society organizations, to the SAICM goal:

"to achieve the sound management of chemicals throughout their life cycle so that, by 2020, chemicals are used and produced in ways that lead to the minimization of significant adverse effects on human health and the environment."
