Since May, Egypt, Ghana and Bolivia have ratified the Stockholm Convention, bringing the total number of countries which have ratified to 33.
Only 17 signatures are needed for the Convention to go into force and establish the Conference Of the Parties (COP). With the Intergovernmental Negotiations Committee (INC) 7 set to start in Geneva, Switzerland this July, we expect this group of ratified countries to expand closer 50.
