National NGO Activities Follow up of South African lead in paint research and advocacy for reduced national standard
Activities Pamphlets will be developed to raise awareness about the dangers of lead, what it is, and where it is found, a series of workshops in the provinces will be hosted to target the regulators, paint manufacturers, media, schools and day care facilities, the South African Standards Authority will be lobbied to re-open the debate on lead in paint standards and push the regulations for the safety of toys, and a media campaign will be continued.
