Community Monitoring:
The Community Monitoring Working Group (CMWG) is the focal point for the POPs Review Committee and
associated activities. The CMWG developed the POPs Review Committee Repository to inform and track the review
process.

ADDING NEW POPs
The Community Monitoring Working Group (CMWG) also aims to develop community monitoring and body burden
testing as a campaign tool to support the implementation of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic
Pollutants and help reduce chemical trespass. The CMWG also reviews body burden data to identify new
POPs.
The CMWG developed the Body Burden Community Monitoring Handbook to inform the wider community about body burden and support communities involved in the monitoring of the environment or our bodies.
