Global day of action on POPs in Gambia.
The Stay Green Foundation (SGF) held a one-day sensitization (awareness-raising) workshop on the Stockholm Convention and other relevant international instruments on banned and restricted hazardous chemicals for CSOs/NGOs operating in the areas of environment and natural resource management. The event was held in collaboration with other NGOs and government institutions such as the National Environment Agency (NEA) and the members of the National Coordinating Committee (NCC) of the NIP. SGF also held a press conference with local media house (print and electronic) featuring the Stockholm Convention, the NIP, pesticides management at the national and local levels, the PCB inventory, and POPs initiatives by NGOs.
